by extremely high winds in the first few minutes of the call the fire spread from 4 acres to 10. 805 established
command and requested mutual aid from District 7 (Lillington) and 11 (Summerville) for engines and brush trucks.

off E-821 to prevent any fire spread on the South side of the fire. Forestry 1 arrived and had the
helicopter assist, but the bird experienced mechanical problems with the drop doors on the water tank. The
tractor plowwas brought in to help contain the fire. Afteran 1 1/2 hours units were diverted
to Johnson Farm Rd. to set up structure protection since the fire was
still being fueled by high winds and was racing to the East. The plow was put in the woods and had
difficulty connecting the plow lines due to a swampy area in the woods. This resulted in the fire
