Can We Find You in an Emergency?????

            Visualize driving through a residential neighborhood or down a rural road late at night attempting to locate an address.  Compound your dilemma and frustration by placing yourself in the driver's seat of a fire engine or ambulance responding to an emergency where seconds may mean the difference between life and death.

            This frustration is all too often experienced by fire and rescue personnel due to the fact that many people either do not clearly mark their homes or do not provide an address marking at all.  Take the time and properly mark your home - PLEASE!!

Address numbers MUST be:

• Mounted on the house

• 3 inches high for residential and 5 inches high for commercial

• a contrasting color from the house

• clearly visible day or night

If a home is 100 ft or more from the road, the address number must be at the entrance to the driveway and visible from both sides.

If you have a mail box, this is a great place to place your address numbers.
