About Us
We are located in Harnett County between Raleigh and Fayetteville, North Carolina and maintain a Class 5 ISO rating. Our department consists of a combination of paid and volunteer firefighters that operate out of one station covering approximately 28 square miles of
district. Our first due responsibilities include the campus of Campbell University, the
Harnett County airport, US Hwy 421, the Cape Fear River, the Campbell House,
Keith Hills Country Club, numerous apartment complexes, many churches, residential, light commercial/industry, and farmland.
Buies Creek Fire Rescue is comprised of 8 paid members and approximately 40 volunteers including local residents as well as many Campbell University students. We provide numerous services to the population including, but not limited to, fire suppression, fire prevention, vehicle extrication, hazardous materials response, EMS transport and rescue of trapped, lost or injured persons.
We utilize 9 pieces of apparatus operating out of 1 station in the center of our
fire district. Our yearly call volume has been increasing every year, but
we have been running at least 1,100 calls per year for the last 2 years.
